Dear Sjani,

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your team at

Zanzibar Weddings for an unforgettable Celebration of Love, in

September 2011, that you helped to make possible! You really went the

extra mile and we appreciate and value it sincerely. As this letter is

really to thank you, we will use the words Thank you rather often so

here goes!

Thank you for all your support, helping us organize all the logistics,

legalities from afar and being patient with our mad schedules.

On the legalities and logistics a special thanks to Father Charles.

He was so sincere, supportive and accommodating to our needs. With two

diverse cultures coming together in unity you both managed to help us

execute the ceremony in style and tact, insuring that the sensitivity

we requested was met. Please send him our warm regards and thanks!

Thank you for all the help with the decor, meeting all my mad ideas

and executing them in such a beautiful way that we still get

compliments, even from friends that could not join on how beautiful

everything looked!

Please also give our thanks to all the musicians! They were

outstanding and everyone enjoyed them thoroughly! The due that walked

us in, the taraab trio (all the guests were greatly

impressed) as well as the dancers – they were all great and we would

highly recommend them all to your future brides and grooms. We still

get compliments and praise for our wedding, from those whom attended

and even the ones that only saw the photos!

In short thank you and your team very much for helping us to make our

special day a memory that we treasure. We wish you well with all your

future weddings.

Dear Sjani,

We are back in Germany and still we are thinking a lot about our

amazing time on Zanzibar.

We started early to plan our dream of a safari in Tanzania,

followed by a magical wedding on Zanzibar.

We had been very busy with arranging flights for us and our family,

planning the safari, thinking about all the small things which are

necessary for such a long travel.

But one thing we didn’t have to think about: our wedding

It was extremely helpful, that we only have had to tell you and your team,

where we wanted to marry and when. For all the rest we could relax

and let you do your wonderful job. And you did an amazing job!

We had a wonderful decorated wedding chappel, lovely flowers,

nice music and everything went just smoothely.

It was our wish to marry at the beautiful Unguja Lodge (thanks to

Elies and her staff for letting us be there and giving us this wonderful

home-feeling far away from home) You managed everything

and arranged the most beautiful location for our wedding ceremony.

Even now, back at home and busy with work, we can’t stopp thinking about

this incredible experience and we still feel, what we call in German,

“Kribbeln im Bauch vor Freude”

“Butterflies in the stomach with joy”

And also after the ceremony you just took care that all

the burocracy had been done. And though we have had

to leave earlier as planned you managed that we got all legal

documents on our way to the airport, so we could return to Germany

as husband and wife.

We will always remember the kindness which we received

from you and all your friendly staff (thanks also to Francesca,

Andrew and Father Charles)

It`s not easy to find the right words to express our feelings,

all we can say is:

“Danke für den bislang schönsten Tag in unserem Leben!”.

“Thank you for the best day so far in our lives!”.

Stunning, breathtaking, amazing is some of the words that come to mind when we think back to our wedding day. We had the most fantastic experience and we couldn’t have achieved any of this without you Sjani and your wonderful team. Unfortunately we didn’t get the chance to meet you in person and we are a bit jealous of all the people who did. We will just have to come and visit again.

Your team Etienne, Natalie and Danielle was the greatest ever and I don’t even know how we will be able to thank them for everything they did for us, they were there every step of our journey and everything worked out perfectly. We really had nothing to worry about, we could just enjoy our day and take in every moment.

We loved the little chapel on the beach, with all the flowers on the chairs and the lovely decorated canopy. The sunset cruise was so much fun and coming back seeing all those lights on the beach, was breathtaking. The lanterns with all the lights over the table was such a nice surprise, it really looked amazing. And the food was out of this world. We had a wonderful day and we enjoyed every moment! We were left with so much love and joy in our hearts!

Thank you very much for everything, for making our day so special! It was definitely our dream wedding!!

Rob is a dear friend who has lived on Zanzibar for many years and we were delighted when he met the lovely Rung.
We were very happy that they decided to include their Zanzibar family in their Wedding Odyssey!
